FAQs
Membership

During the registration process, what is the difference between upgrade, trial, free
     and gallery only?

Members, whether they are a future Marine or Marine, have the option of registering as an
upgraded member which gives them complete access to all of the premium features of the
site.  They are paying members and have chosen a  6 month subscription at $9.99, a 1 year
subscription at 15.99 or a 2 year subscription at 24.99.

Our trial membership allows a future Marine or Marine to register on the site without
committing to a long term subscription.  They have complete access to all of the premium
features of the site during a 14 day period.  You may upgrade this membership during the
trial period and you are free to cancel at any time.

During open registration, which we anticipate to occur once a year, WTDB will offer a free,
limited access membership to future Marines and Marines.  During this time we wil be
evaluating our services and addressing member feedback to meet and exceed the needs of our
members.  We feel this is a great incentive and a win win situation for both parties.

The gallery only membership only allows you to view photos from the Marine Corps History
Division and The Betty H. Carter Women Veterans Historical Project (WVHP).  Both men
and women can register as this member type however, you will not have access to most of the
     features in the below chart.

What do I get with my membership?

Do you have a referral program?

Word of mouth remains the best way to inform prospective members of our new community.  To
show our appreciation, WTDB will extend the membership of upgraded members by 6 months
for every 5 members listed under their first level of referrals.  You can view your referrals by
clicking manage profile, referrals.  Be sure to use the 'refer a friend' link under 'my profile' to be
properly credited.  We will adjust your membership accordingly once you contact us.

What happens when my membership expires?

If you registered as a free member, your membership will never expire and you are able to
     upgrade at any time.

If you are a paying member, you will be prompted to renew your membership upon log-in.
You will receive a courtesy reminder 14 calendar days prior to expiration.

What is the difference between the future Marine member and a Marine member?

A 'future Marine' member is only available to poolees enrolled in the Delayed Entry Program
(DEP) and other women who have an interest in the United States Marine Corps.  A 'Marine'
member is available to active duty Marines, reservists, retirees and veterans.

Once I become a Marine, how can I change my member type?

Please contact us and we will modify your membership account.

types are restricted from viewing and posting on topics labeled ***Marine Only***.

multiple groups or change their primary group at any time.  Free members can join 1 group.

     How are groups categorized?

Future Marine groups are categorized by recruiting stations while Marine groups are

Advertising

How can I advertise with WTDB?

WTDB currently offers one way to advertise on WhereTheDifferenceBegins.com which are two
rotating banner slots on our homepage.   We do not place any other ads (i.e. banners, pop-ups,
floating ads, etc.) throughout the site as this would interrupt the user's experience. In the future,
WTDB will offer other advertisement avenues through their e-newsletter, career center, and
     advertorials.
